EDITION XXIV

SPRING 2026

Letter From The Editor

No funeral necessary, fashion never dies.

Clothing has a unique way of refusing a proper burial. What we once left behind inevitably finds its way back on the runway. Resurfaced, reclaimed, or remaining undeniably relevant, these pieces exist without ever truly fading. The very act of saying "we'll never see that again" is often what ensures that we will.

Whether it is a pair of jeans that has been passed down through countless closets, a dependable leather jacket that effortlessly pulls together any last-minute outfit, or Jane Birkin's ability to turn a simple handbag into a symbol of endurance, these pieces are reminders of how the past lingers into our future. They become foundations of style, proving that timelessness can be just as integral as innovation.

But immortality extends far beyond permanence and goes hand-in-hand with return. Trends constantly rotate in and out of the spotlight, serving as markers of time, yet refusing to be confined by it. What has defined one generation waits patiently for the next to rediscover it.

Something that you deem outdated, fashion considers unfinished.

Through these histories, we look to what feels familiar, the qualities that give an item the privilege of staple status, and the cultural weight behind your favorite pieces. Here's to living forever - I present MASH Magazine's Edition XXIV: The Art of Immortality.
